Hi, my name is Jo and I was born in Manchester in the UK. I moved to Derby at age 18 where I went to university to study a degree in Hospitality Management. After finishing my degree I moved to Nottingham for a year then decided to head to ‘The Big Smoke’ aka London. Having had enough of the terrible English weather (and other things too of course) I made the leap to sunnier climates and ended up in Barcelona until just a month ago when I came to live in your home city – Malaga.
I have worked in a variety of different jobs before I settled on teaching English as a foreign language. I have plotted street lights in the East Midlands, I have organised parties and weddings and I have even worked for a newspaper group setting up a ‘deals’ division. Nowadays I love teaching all ages and abilities and I think watching a person learn to communicate in my native language is very rewarding.
Outside of work I love to socialise with friends, keep up to date with family and get to know people from all over the world. I love writing and write short stories mainly and would love to be published at some point in my life. I love to sing and am pretty creative on the whole.
Nice to ‘virtually’ meet you all!
